Prince Albert

This collection was originally showcased at Velvet da Vinci and was shown as part of 'Crash! Bang! Wallop!'. This exhibition was held in Munich, to coincide with Munich Jewellery Week and was curated from a group of Birmingham based jewellers by Sally Colllins and Sabine Roth, to celebrate the criss-crossing of cultures and diverse experiences and approaches to the discipline. Prince Albert was created from a tobacco tin, with a little Altoids tin detail. There are silver coins depicting Queen Victoria, to create 'Victoria and Albert' and the collection enjoys the tongue-in-cheek humour which the tin itself provided.
This collection was exhibited by Galerie Mazlo with Jo Pond as a guest artist. The exhibition 'Holy Tools', showed at Paris Design Week in September 2017. The curator Celine Robin is interviewed on Art Jewellery Forum. You can also read a review by Le Gemmologue.
