An unworn but much-loved ring, sensitively re-worked into a pendant.

Brooch, 'Tandem Usque'

This bicycle cleat brooch was commissioned by the gentleman of a couple who are keen tandem riders. The wife was throwing away a favourite pair of shoes that had seen thousands of miles of service and the husband decided to salvage the cleats and make them into a memento of their many adventures together. The wife loved peridot, so these were utilised to hold the cleats in place. They were mounted in silver onto a laser-welded steel frame, with a nod to the yin and yang and to the cycle of repetition. The final object was laser engraved and functioned as a wearable, as well as a wall-piece. The couple are still cycling!
