Created from a vintage watch strap, with a suspended diary excerpt, sublimated on steel, this brooch represents the struggles of the wartime wife and mother. Lily Pond records the jubilation at discovering she is carrying my dad, her first child, and, in the same hand she states that Germany has invaded Norway.
